And the Emmy® Goes to…Encoding.com!

Since launching Encoding.com in 2008, we’ve had a singular focus: to provide a more efficient way for top-tier media companies to process and deliver VOD content at scale by leveraging the advantages of public cloud platforms. We couldn’t be happier or more humbled to say that more than a dozen years later the industry continues to respond to our relentless focus on innovation and customer service.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has recognized the success of our efforts by honoring Encoding.com with a 2020 Technology & Engineering Emmy® Award for our development of Massive Processing Optimized Compression Technologies.

“We are truly grateful to the Academy for this recognition, as the Emmy® serves as a testament to the hard work put in by the entire Encoding.com team over the years,” said Jeff Malkin, president at Encoding.com. “We’re also indebted to our clients, who put their trust in us to transcode, package and deliver their most-valuable assets to every type of mobile, desktop, IPTV and OTT device.”

The latest enhancements to the Encoding.com platform include growing our already robust set of VOD-focused microservices, including broad I/O format support, adaptive bitrate and CableLabs® packaging, parallel chunk processing, Beamr content-adaptive bitrate (CABR) encoding, digital rights management, dynamic ad insertion, Nielsen watermarking, advanced audio, closed captioning and automated QC-as-a-service. We will continue to innovate to assure that we always provide you with the most feature-rich video media processing service on the planet.

To date, we’ve now transcoded more than a billion videos and processed over one trillion API requests for industry leaders such as NBCUniversal, BBC, Peacock, WarnerMedia and Fox. Our platform includes a robust and growing set of VOD-focused microservices, including broad I/O format support, adaptive bitrate and CableLabs® packaging, parallel chunk processing, Beamr content-adaptive bitrate (CABR) encoding, digital rights management, dynamic ad insertion, Nielsen watermarking, advanced audio, closed captioning and automated QC-as-a-service.

The 72nd Annual Technology & Engineering Emmy® Awards Ceremony is tentatively scheduled as a virtual event to be held in partnership with the NAB Show on Sunday October 10, 2021. We’re looking forward to it!
